I’m Lokesh, a graphite portrait artist who believes that art has the power to preserve memories forever.

My journey with drawing started when I was around eight years old. What began as a simple childhood curiosity soon turned into a passion when I discovered that I could recreate drawings just by carefully observing details. From that moment, art became a natural part of my life.

During my school years, I actively participated in drawing competitions and often secured first and second places. Although I focused mainly on outlines back then, the joy of creating art always stayed with me.

After a gap during my college years, my passion for drawing returned when I saw a senior artist sketching live portraits during a farewell event. Inspired by that moment, I started practicing again during the pandemic in 2022, learning shading techniques and improving my skills through continuous practice.

In 2023, I received my first commissioned portrait, which not only became my first earning from art but also showed me how deeply people value handmade portraits that capture their loved ones and memories.

Since then, I have completed 20+ commissioned artworks, each created with patience, attention to detail, and emotion.

In today’s world of digital images and AI-generated art, I choose to continue the tradition of hand-drawn graphite portraits — artworks that carry a human touch and can be cherished for generations.

Through Lokesh Artz, my goal is to turn precious memories into timeless artworks.
